A long tried and true tradition in Aspen is the Ducky Derby. It starts out as a celebration on a big field with games, jumpy castles, face painting and snacks.
It then works into the heart of the event. The big race down the Rio Grande river in Aspen. This year was the 17th annual race.
It is a great idea actually. Each yellow rubber ducky is purchased and it raises money for the Rotary Club. I have never seen so many rubber duckies in my life. I guess our 5 ducks didn't place because to date I have not received a call telling me I am now a millionaire!
